Long post

Toddlerism has really set in at the Bunte house. Lane started mid June really stepping it up a notch in the no no no , mamama, miiiiinnneee department. I've been reading and talked to alot of my mommy friends and they say right around this age they really get "stubborn". It made the move kinda stressful for me, but I'm glad to say that this past week went well and things have mellowed out a bit. I was kinda nervous since Jay was going back to work from his 42 day hiatus. I've been reading and rereading Toddlerwise and What to Expect the Toddler years. Both have been very helpful but Toddlerwise more so. It tries to help you understand more of how a toddler thinks and gives some great ideas and tips for activities, daily schedules, and discipline which I am getting better at. You kind of have to after your child refuses to listen to you over and over again (when they are doing something that could harm them).

Lane really is a smart cookie and knows EVERYTHING I say to him or ask him to do. I couldn't even tell you his vocabulary count but it's definitely over 100 words. That doesn't mean he's saying one hundred words but he knows sooo much. He talks to me all day, reads to himself out loud, talks to people while we are out and loves loves loves kiddos! Next week I am going to get him re registered with CYS on Fort Sill so he can go to childcare twice a week for a few hours. We did this back in Fort hood every Wed for 4 hours and I think it's good for Lane not to mention he likes interacting with others.

Wow, I'm rambling. We miss everyone and can't wait to see ya'll soon.

Lane loves to get in my make up with me

Walking around his new pad
Daddy on his first day back. Kinda weird to see him in his ACU's again.
Lane's favorite past-time, running back and forth from living room to his room full speed

  1. Welcome to the toddler years! It seems like for us, every day is a new day. I'll feel like I've got everything figured out and then they will be on to something new and I'll have to start all over again! :) It is such a fun stage but yes, some days can be very frustrating! I'm definitely no expert-in fact, quite the opposite-but let me know if you ever need anything! He sure is a cutie!
