Fun in the sun
Every morning Elle takes Lane to the playground at our apartment complex. Since it's Saturday, I was able to tag along. I didn't realize how far Lane has progressed with his climbing abilities. It is really neat to watch. The down side is he doesn't want you to help him, which makes for some tense moments. Live and learn I guess.

Open your eyes
So one of Lane's favorite activities is being chased. He also loves to imitate people. So naturally he decided he needed his blanket too since Elle had one. He also loves to run with his eyes closed. It's extremely cute but would rather he open his eyes.

Brusha Brusha Brusha.
Our lil Dare Devil
Someone forgot to give me the memo about how rowdy and dangerous little boys, or maybe it's all children, can be. Lane has no fear and is always testing himself to see how high or far he can climb. Now, he's resorted to climbing high and jumping down, except he isn't a very soft lander. I can't take my eyes off of this kid for one second. It's ok, I don't want too ;)

Hello Down There!!!
You may be wondering why I'm taking pictures and allowing him to do these crazy tricks but it's just this once so you get the picture. Promise.

Lane at the mall
Ok, so trying out a new way to post videos. Hopefully you will like it. UPDATE: If you are having trouble viewing this video, use Internet Explorer as your browser. For some reason FireFox will not show the video.
Anywho, this is not the most exciting video but I wanted to test it out. This is a kiddie play center we found at the Lawton mall. It is great because it is close to our apartment, air conditioned and completely cushioned/padded. We have taken Lane there at least 3 times this week and he absolutely loves it.

Long post
Toddlerism has really set in at the Bunte house. Lane started mid June really stepping it up a notch in the no no no , mamama, miiiiinnneee department. I've been reading and talked to alot of my mommy friends and they say right around this age they really get "stubborn". It made the move kinda stressful for me, but I'm glad to say that this past week went well and things have mellowed out a bit. I was kinda nervous since Jay was going back to work from his 42 day hiatus. I've been reading and rereading Toddlerwise and What to Expect the Toddler years. Both have been very helpful but Toddlerwise more so. It tries to help you understand more of how a toddler thinks and gives some great ideas and tips for activities, daily schedules, and discipline which I am getting better at. You kind of have to after your child refuses to listen to you over and over again (when they are doing something that could harm them).
Lane really is a smart cookie and knows EVERYTHING I say to him or ask him to do. I couldn't even tell you his vocabulary count but it's definitely over 100 words. That doesn't mean he's saying one hundred words but he knows sooo much. He talks to me all day, reads to himself out loud, talks to people while we are out and loves loves loves kiddos! Next week I am going to get him re registered with CYS on Fort Sill so he can go to childcare twice a week for a few hours. We did this back in Fort hood every Wed for 4 hours and I think it's good for Lane not to mention he likes interacting with others.
Wow, I'm rambling. We miss everyone and can't wait to see ya'll soon.
Lane loves to get in my make up with me
Walking around his new pad
Daddy on his first day back. Kinda weird to see him in his ACU's again.
Lane's favorite past-time, running back and forth from living room to his room full speed

Lane at Sam's
Quick little video from our Sam's club trip. We went down an aisle with fans, and of course Lane was mesmerized. He is too cute.

Finally an update
Sorry for the long delay in updating. It's been a long couple of weeks packing up our house in Killeen and moving to Oklahoma. We are finally here and settled in. So far, this place makes us miss Killeen (never thought I would say that) but we are finding more and more things to do everyday.
Jay starts class on Monday and officially goes back to work after taking off 41 days. Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks.
That bird is staring Elle down.
Yes, it's a '98 Ford Ranger. Yes, people mistake me for the cable guy when I pull up to their house
