Theme Week #1 Easter

So now that Lane is getting a wee bit older, I've decided to incorporate a little bit of organized learning structure into our weeks. I've taken some cue's from other's and we are going to start Theme Week/Month . Of course this week couldn't be anything BUT EASTER!

Lane ate his dinner in his Blue Bunny egg holder. I thought it would be a fun way to eat meals. It ended up a fun way to flip it and throw it on the floor, so he ate his din on the tray as usual.
Of course the first thing he goes for are the bunny shaped marshmallows. Who doesn't want dessert first???

Trust me Lane does REALLY like veggies. We hope it stays this way...

Sunday we made Easter cookies. Not very Martha Stewart looking but they were tasty. Lane even had his own personalized one.

My Sweeties with their Sweets. Lane's already digging in. We only let him have a couple bites. You would have thought taking "candy" was easy from a baby, UMMMMM NO IT ISN'T!

Monday after Lane's' afternoon nap we tried watching this Easter DVD. He wasn't interested, maybe we will try again next year.

Park Playdates

Lane and I will be making park playdates a regular (daily) thing. He loves being outside and loved the park. I enjoyed that I got ANOTHER nap out of him afterward, it wore him out! The weather is so lovely and little man is such a joy to watch practice his new skills.

Wasn't too sure about the swing at first. I think he thought it was like his jumper. After a few swings and a couple whew! yays! from mama, he was all smiles....

The epitome of Lane. This is how Lane walks and with a scowl on his face. He does however smile at you if you catch him scowling. Too sweet my love.

Spring is right around the corner

One week and it will officially be spring. I love spring in Texas, can't beat the 70's and non stop birds singing in the sky. Lane has really started to appreciate being outside in good weather. We make it a daily event to spend quality time out doors. He likes to just sit in the grass and pick at it , eat it, throw it, talk to it, look at Zeus running around like a Tazmanian devil, or point and ahh at every little thing. Hope everyone else is getting to enjoy this great weather as well.

I have so many but blogger is taking forever to upload.

We have a WALKER!

Oh I can't tell you how proud of my little man I am! We have had such a great week while Daddy was away in Houston for a show. Today Lane REALLY started stepping up his game in the walking department. He took his first step about a month ago, but today he was cranking them out like it was nobody's bizznezz! He was so happy and smiley and you could really tell he was so proud of himself and rightfully so. He is amazing ya'll! Talks non stop, points at everything, really listens to you when your reading and will read back to you, says, dog, dada, mama, car, lihh (light), turtle (crazy I now but will say Tur and sound out the rest), bah (ball). He knows exactly what I'm saying when I ask him to show me something he will look at it or he will GO GET IT! Hmmmm what else? Oh yeah, he gives kisses. You ask him for a kiss and make a kiss face and here comes Mr. Man with a sloppy open mouth smoochie! Oh Lane, you silly little booger, Mommy and Daddy love you more than life itself. Your the best and I couldn't image a world without you in it. YOU ROCK!

We spent the afternoon in Salado and stopped at the creek for a little mini picnic. Lane is true boy all the way, LOVES DIRT!
